The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Eastern Ohio
Western Pennsylvania
Western and Northwestern West Virginia
Lake Erie
* Effective this Wednesday night and Thursday morning from 810 PM
until 300 AM EDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
A tornado or two possible
SUMMARY...A mature squall line is forecast to move east across the
Watch this evening into the early overnight period. Scattered
severe gusts capable of wind damage are likely with the more intense
portions of the squall line. A brief tornado is also possible with
any stronger embedded circulation within the squall line, especially
across eastern Ohio.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60
statute miles east and west of a line from 25 miles west northwest
of Erie PA to 15 miles south southwest of Charleston WV. For a

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
