The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Central into Southeast and Eastern Montana
Far Northern Wyoming
* Effective this Saturday night and Sunday morning from 615 PM
until 100 AM MDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75
mph possible
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5
inches in diameter possible
SUMMARY...Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are forecast to
develop and intensify through the early evening initially across
portions of central Montana. This activity will likely spread east
with an accompanying risk for large to very large hail and severe
gusts with the stronger thunderstorms. A lingering risk for mainly
severe gusts may persist into the early overnight hours.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 100
statute miles north and south of a line from 20 miles west of
Harlowton MT to 45 miles north northeast of Broadus MT. For a

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
