The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Southwest Oklahoma
Northwest Texas
* Effective this Sunday night and Monday morning from 740 PM
until 300 AM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
inches in diameter likely
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
SUMMARY...Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to persist
tonight across southwest Oklahoma and northwest Texas. Large hail
will be the primary risk, with some isolated very large hail
possible. Occasional damaging gusts are also possible, particularly
across northwest Texas.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60
statute miles east and west of a line from 30 miles north northeast
of Clinton OK to 45 miles southwest of Wichita Falls TX. For a

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
