The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
South Central Arkansas
Northern Louisiana
* Effective this Tuesday afternoon and evening from 310 PM until
900 PM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5
inches in diameter possible
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
A tornado or two possible
SUMMARY...Thunderstorms will continue to intensify along a cold
front and track across northern Louisiana through the early evening.
Large hail, damaging winds, and perhaps a tornado or two are
possible.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60
statute miles east and west of a line from 35 miles south southwest
of Natchitoches LA to 60 miles north northeast of Monroe LA. For a

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
