SEL6 URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 236 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 800 PM CDT Tue May 6 2025 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of South Texas Coastal Waters * Effective this Tuesday night from 800 PM until Midnight CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 3 inches in diameter possible Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible SUMMARY...A few supercells are forecast to develop this evening and pose mainly a threat for large to very large hail. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55 statute miles east and west of a line from 25 miles north of Beeville TX to 25 miles west southwest of Mcallen TX.
